SENATE RESOLUTION NO. 27

Tomblin, Mr. President)
Commending Senator John D. Rockefeller IV for his tireless work
and ceaseless attempts to save the steel industry in the
State of West Virginia.
Whereas, Senator Rockefeller has researched and documented
the problems and challenges associated with the steel industry in
West Virginia and the nation; and
Whereas, Senator Rockefeller has lobbied on the nation's
capitol steps in Washington, D. C., along with West Virginia
labor workers during the "Stand Up For Steel" rally; and
Whereas, Senator Rockefeller is single-handedly responsible
for many new jobs in West Virginia and for maintaining existing
jobs as well; and
Whereas, The Legislature finds it appropriate to recognize
and pay special tribute to the outstanding public service performed by Senator Rockefeller; therefore, be it
Resolved by the Senate:
That the Senate hereby commends Senator John D. Rockefeller
IV for his outstanding service and tireless work and attempts to
save the steel industry in the State of West Virginia; and, be it
Further Resolved, That the Clerk is hereby directed to
forward a copy of this resolution to Senator Rockefeller.
